An engineering technical report is required to discuss about the CFD modelling of in-cylinder flow of a diesel engine. Different piston head geometry (piston bowl) will be used in the CFD modelling and the report will be investigating the effect of the different piston geometry to the fluid flow characteristic. While older piston tops where mostly flat, the piston head we used in present day is designed with many kind of feature bowls and is expected to creating better mixing in the in-cylinder flow of a diesel engine which will results in better combustion.
